A wind-powered beach-lighting concept developed through D Idea Media for a Dubai Municipality brief, combining public lighting, information and safety features.

THE BRIEF

Dubai Municipality asked D Idea Media to explore beach lighting powered by wind. The proposal also needed to communicate useful public information and bring safety functions into one structure.

THE DESIGN RESPONSE

The pole brings a wind turbine, LED lighting, message displays, clocks, cameras and an emergency button into a unified vertical form. A steel frame and fiberglass cladding define its proposed construction.

WHY IT MATTERS

This project brings energy, communication and public-space design into the same object. The challenge extends beyond appearance to how several functions share a clear, legible structure.
